I bring a wealth of knowledge to my new position, having founded and run a successful sanitation business in Northern Ontario for 17 years.
Together with my husband, Dave, I coordinated all operations, advertising, and strategic growth of the business while striving to ensure customer satisfaction and environmental safety were not just overall objectives, but daily considerations. Providing clean, dependable and reliable service to our clients was a personal commitment from myself and my husband, which cultivated a first-class reputation and led to the sale of the business in 2023.
Over the 17 years of operating the business, I became well-known to the communities we serviced, and beyond. I have volunteered for countless organizations and received numerous distinguishing awards for my professional and personal accomplishments including Member of the Year from the Muskoka Builder’s Association in 2022 and 2015, the YWCA’s Woman of Distinction Award for Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship in 2015, and Northern Ontario’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2011.
I love to help people. Whether I am fundraising for an important cause, delivering humanitarian goods overseas, or volunteering weekends at my local foodbank – helping people is at the core of what drives me daily. My daughter Nikki has always sought to follow in my footsteps and find ways to help others and she is currently in her first year of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Laurentian University.
I am eager to bring my people-centric life philosophy to my new role with PolyJohn Canada.
